Terms and Conditions:
It’s truely important to us that we stay fair to all our clients therefore, please read through our T&Cs BEFORE choosing to hire with us.
It will be assumed that you have read our T&C’s prior to renting and by confirming payment to book a hire, you are automatically signing off on these T&Cs.
Sandy Rentals will hold all customers accountable to our terms to ensure we continue to provide a great service and product to all future and returning clients.
Pick ups / Returns
All garments are to be picked up from our address in Sandringham VIC Monday through Sunday from 8AM - 10PM.

Our hire period is MAX 3 nights (4 days). An extended hire period can be arranged, each day costing $15 extra. Failure to return the garment on the agreed date will incur a late fee of $15, regardless of situation. This to ensure garments can be prepared for the next hire in time.
Postal Hires
We offer express postage for $30* additional, Australia wide. A prepaid express return shipping label will be supplied for you to return the garment with. This must be lodged at an Aus Post post office before 12PM the next business day after your event. The return must not be dropped in any street post box, they must be lodged over the counter & a lodgement receipt must be sent via dm to @sandyrentals. *Some larger garments require a postage fee of $48.
Failure to complete the above will incur the late fee of $15 each day.
We will post your garment to you express, organized to arrive at least 1 day before your event.
We do not post outside of Australia.
All items are posted with Australia Post, suggested delivery times are taken from their website, Sandy Rentals is not responsible for any delays on behalf of Aus Post. If a postal hire does not arrive to you in time by fault of Australia Post delays, you will be refunded the bond & postal cost. The hire cost will not be refunded but instead, kept as store credit. The garment must be lodged back at the post office as a return before 3pm the next day to be entitled to this store credit.
If a postal hire does not arrive to you in time by fault of an incorrect address being provided, you will not be refunded. Please double check the postal information you have provided us with is correct.
If an item is lost in the mail during the process of return (a parcel is deemed lost if it has not been delivered back within a month), the bond will not be returned to the renter. In some cases, if we deem the renter to be at fault for lost mail (for example, via incorrect postage methods such as dropping the return in a red post box), the cost to replace the dress must be covered by the renter.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds under any circumstance, if you wish to cancel your hire, store credit will be issued, this is redeemable at any time. Any cancellations within 7 days of pickup will incur a cancelation fee of 25% of the hire cost (deducted from the store credit).
We do not offer refunds or store credit once the garment has been picked up/posted for sizing issues or changes of mind. We offer try ons in Sandringham VIC to avoid such issues. If you choose not to wear the garment upon picking it up, the bond will be returned as usual but the hire cost will not.
If you pick up a garment and it does not fit, you may be eligible to return the dress & swap it for another piece the same day, provided it is available. If you choose to do this, you will incur a fee of 25% of the original garments hire cost. If a garment is swapped for a cheaper alternative, the original hire cost will remain, regardless of which garment. If a garment is swapped for a more expensive alternative, you must pay the hire cost of the new piece. The opportunity to swap however, is not guaranteed. Please do not book a hire if you are unsure about the piece.
Try Ons
Try ons are available in Sandringham VIC 3191. They cost $10 and last for 20 minutes. Please check the story highlights on our Instagram (@sandyrentals) for available try on times. Try on times are not available by request.
Please do not attend try ons with fresh fake tan or makeup. Please also be very careful when trying garments on as many are very delicate. If the item/items you tried on are damaged during a try on, you will be held liable to pay the repair/cleaning fees.
Postal try ons are not available (unless paid for as a full hire).
Booking a try on does not guarantee that the dress will remain available for your preferred date. To secure a particular garment for your preferred date, full payment is required (this includes the hire cost, bond and, if required, postage cost). Your hire is not reserved/locked in under any circumstance until it has been paid for.
A try on booking is not secured until it has been paid for. When booking a try on, please indicate which garments you would like to try on & the date you are looking to hire for.
Cleaning, Damages & Bond Returns
Some garments are dry cleaned between every hire. Please read the description posted on our Instagram & website to determine whether or not dry cleaning is included in your hire.
If your hire includes dry cleaning, you will only be charged an additional fee if damage is excessive & requires additional cleaning methods. The bond may be kept until the garment is picked back up from the dry cleaners to ensure any damage could be removed. If these additional cleaning methods still do not remove damages, the full cost to replace the dress must be paid.
If your hire does not include dry cleaning, that means it is cleaned using appropriate methods myself (as instructed by my dry cleaners). For these garments, if any stains/marks cannot be removed at home, they will be take to get professionally cleaned, a fee of which will be deducted from the bond. If these additional cleaning methods still do not remove damages, the full cost to replace the dress must be paid
If a garment is damaged during your hire period, unrelated to cleaning (including rips, pulls, holes, excessive stretch, broken zips etc.) a repair fee will be deducted from the bond. For any very small damages that can be fixed myself, $10 will be deducted from the bond. The fee for any other repairs will be determined by my tailor and deducted from the bond.
Please do not attempt to wash or alter the garments during your hire period unless instructed to do so (as this may cause damage to the garment). If we are to believe that the garment has been altered during your hire period, either a repair fee will be deducted from the bond or full retail price must be paid to replace the garment.
If you receive your garment and it is damaged to a point whereby either, it cannot physically be worn or, the appearance of the garment when worn is impacted greatly, you will be provided a refund only if, you notify myself within 5 hours of picking up / receiving your garment. If you do not notify me of any prior damages to a garment, it will be assumed that said damages occurred during your hire (at fault of the renter).
Please note that all of the garments available to hire have been worn many times before. They are hire garments & are not in brand new, unworn condition. Small imperfections may be present on certain garments. Any noticeable imperfections will be listed in the product description on this website & made clear to the renter prior to booking (and thus renters cannot claim refunds/discounts for said faults).
If the damage is irreversible and cannot be repaired without hindering the appearance of the dress when worn, full retail price must be paid to replace the garment (this also applies for try on appointments). Whether or not damage is irreversible is decided by my dry cleaners/tailor (ie. they will notify me of any stains/pulls etc. that cannot be removed), not the renter.
Please notify me immediately if any damage is caused during your hire, do not wait until you have dropped it off. This way we can figure out the best way to have it repaired (if possible) in time for future bookings.
The bond will be returned within 24 hours of the garment being returned provided all above criteria is met (I will let you know if for any reason I am unable to return it within this time frame). I will contact you within 24 hours of return should I have concerns about the returned condition of the garment to advise of any deduction to your bond return amount. Partial or full bond may be kept depending on the level of damage to cover the cost of repairs.
If a garment is stolen or damaged beyond repair and the customer refuses to pay to replace the garment, legal action will be taken against the customer.
